Final Comment

I really had a blast doing some of the projects!  At times, the class was frustrating but I learned a lot about makeup that I would have never learned if I did not take the class!  I took this class for my artistic expression, and I am so glad that I was able to learn some pretty awesome makeup techniques.  I also loved that the class was small and we all got along!

Final Project

This is a picture from when I put glue on my eyebrows to make them disappear for my final project.  Others had problems with the glue working for them but I think because it was under black makeup and that my eyebrows are light to begin with, the glue did work for me!

These are the lines that I drew to get the checker board on my face with brown eyeliner.

This is a picture when my burn was in place and all of my white was colored in.  If you look closely you can see that I made a mark with brown eyeliner where I should use black makeup so I would not get confused and accidentally mess up the checkerboard! 

This is a picture when all of my makeup was put on my face.  All I needed to do was add the rest of the appliances (the floam and the cotton balls).

This is a side view of the first time I did my design.  I definitely should have made the lines more smooth at the end of the makeup.

This is my final design.  I am really happy with how it turned out.  I loved the floam when I started to use it, but at the end I was so sick of the little balls being everywhere! 

Mustache and Eyebrows!

I was not exactly looking forward to doing mustaches because I think mustaches are so weird!

I first picked the two colors that I wanted to use for my mustache and eyebrows.  I immediately choose gray and then thought the orange would blend well with the grey.

We then had to iron half of each color.

I then had to design how I wanted my mustache and eyebrows to look.  

I then had to cut about an inch off of each color of straightened hair and split each color hair into ten separate piles.

I then had to blend the small piles together to make the hair look natural.  

I started to multi task by putting my corrective makeup on my face while I was making the mustache and eyebrows.  We had to put a two layers of latex on the mustache and eyebrow drawings and let it dry and then we had to slowly place the hair in lines on the design.  Then the latex had to dry in between each layer.

This is when I put the mustache on my face.  We had to put spirit gum above our top lip and on the mustache to make it stick.  

I accidentally put one eyebrow a little too high!  (I used spirit gum above my real eyebrows and on the fake eyebrows to make them stick.)

I fixed my eyebrows!

I wanted to make a funny face to experiment with the facial hair!

The final touch was putting eyeliner on my eyes to make the eyes stand out more!  Overall, it was fun to make the eyebrows and mustache!  They were very itchy on my face though!

Cuts and Bruises

I was so excited to do cuts and bruises especially right in time for Halloween!

We started by making a doughnut shape on our arm with makeup, making sure to leave no makeup in the middle! 

We then started to add different colors to the doughnut shape to start to make the bruise look real!

We then used the stifle and put red dots in random spots around the doughnut shape, to represent broken capillaries. 

This is the final bruise from farther away.  I was shocked with how real it looked from a distance!

This is the start of making the bruise around my eye.  I started by putting my shadow color around my eye.  If you look closely you can see how dark it is around my eye.  

I then did the exact steps I did on my arm to my face to get the look of a real bruise!

This is a better closeup of what I started to do around my eye.  I wanted to make it look as real as possible so I extended the bruise onto my nose.  I put a lot of purple to make it darker!

I started the cut by making a thick line of my highlight color on my arm.  

We then dropped the fake blood onto the line and then shook our arm to make the blood drip down the line.  We ripped the cotton off the top of a q-tip to dip the stick part into the fake blood.

Finally, I did the same steps to make a cut by my eye!  I was really proud of myself for how these turned out for my first time trying to make cuts and bruises!  

Skinny Face

When I was finished putting on the makeup, I could definitely see the difference!

 I loved putting the makeup on my neck!

This is the final makeup for the added weight and the skinny face.

Adding Weight

I was really terrified of how the IPad app made me look!  Again, I am shocked that the way you put on makeup, can make you look heavier than you actually are.

Aging!

I had a lot of fun making myself look older.  I am shocked that using makeup the correct way can make someone look way older than they are!

 My favorite part was adding the grey to my hair!
